A Family Affair30-Jul-2014
Craig and Shaneen, a husband and wife team decided to purchase 18 months ago a new Hairhouse Warehouse store in Gungahlin, ACT and they have not looked back. This decision was largely inspired by their daughter Amanda, who has been in the hair and beauty industry for over eight years as a Store Manager for several Hairhouse Warehouse salons in Queensland. For the family to be together and work together was all what they wanted to do.
Shaneen mentions” Amanda is certainly the driving force in our business. She has so much passion and drive to be the very best. Having the inside knowledge of how the Hairhouse Warehouse business model works as a Store Manager certainly helped us to have a solid foundation to start with, but the help from Head Office Support Centre has been exceptional. They have been there every step of the way. Having also an exceptional Regional Area Manager, who is like your own personal business advisor, provides such a peace of mind.”
“We have grown to having now over 10 staff members and proud now to be consistently ranked in the top six achieving Hairhouse Warehouse salons in the state” Shaneen adds. “This achievement is largely due to our talented team but also the Hairhouse Warehouse business model that works so well. With the constant training, support and the weekly sales figures you know how you are performing. Hairhouse Warehouse constantly motivates you and helps you with any challenges or areas for improvement so you can be your best.”
“The key to owning a Hairhouse Warehouse franchisee is enjoying being and working with people and having good interpersonal skills. Craig and I have come from different industries Craig a Civil Engineer and I am a Manager from the Swimming Pool industry, however we both have this key ingredient that is required to achieve success.”
Shaneen reflects by saying “One thing in our journey with Hairhouse Warehouse is that you learn something every day which is empowering. Yes it is a seven day week business, it can be challenging, hard work and trying at times but the rewards make it worthwhile such as seeing a customer coming out of our salon looking nice.”
Shaneen’s final comment“ We have exciting plans ahead. Already we have started expanding our salon to better serve our customers and we want to own a second one in within the next six months. Working together as a family and being part of the Hairhouse Warehouse family is everything we had ever hoped for.'
